Become the first ever Australian Poker Hero

Earn a seat on Australian Poker Hero and win up $2.5 million AUD in the Aussie Millions

Take part in the Australian Poker Hero Online Qualifiers and you could appear on TV, win entry to the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event and donate $10,000 AUD to the charity of your choice.

Each week, 6 players will appear on Australian Poker Hero airing on WIN/NBN & Channel 9. Contestants will play against five other qualifiers and a mystery celebrity guest. Winners will share in over $250,000 AUD in prizes, including $100,000 for charity, and a chance to play for the biggest prize in Australian poker – the $2.5 million AUD 1st prize at the Aussie Millions.

How to Qualify

The only place to qualify online for Australian Poker Hero is at FullTiltPoker.org or with the APL:

  • If you don’t yet have a Full Tilt Poker account, download the game and set up your account now.
  • Start by playing in daily Australian Poker Hero - Round 1 freerolls. The top 10 finishers will earn an entry to weekly Australian Poker Hero – Round 2 tournaments.
  • Australian Poker Hero – Round 2 tournaments run every Sunday at 05:30 ET (19:30 AEST) from Sunday, July 19th, 2009 until Sunday, November 15th, 2009.

Winners from each Australian Poker Hero — Round 2 tournament will receive an Australian Poker Hero prize package, including airfare for you and a guest to and from Melbourne, three nights hotel accommodation at the Crown Casino Hotel in Melbourne, dinner and a seat on the Australian Poker Hero TV show.

Win your way to the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event

The winner of each episode of Australian Poker Hero will win a prize package to the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event valued at $15,000 AUD, including the $10,000 entry fee, eight nights’ accommodation, participation in Full Tilt Poker events valued at $1,200 and $1,000 in spending money.
